Nice, small and nicely decorated cafe. Versatile choice of drinks, today there were three cakes to choose from. There are seats inside (approx. 10) and a few outside as well, at least another 10. Friendly service.

The food was very good and the value for money ok. However, it took a long time until the drinks (2 spritzers, 45 minutes) were brought. Unfortunately, we had to wait 1.5 hours for the food. We were aware that it would take a little longer to prepare (map indicates this), but we hadn't thought that we would spend two hours in the shop. It wasn't crowded either ... we can't really explain what took so long: bread, scrambled eggs, boiled egg, slices of sausage, cheese from the package and yoghurt with fruit don't take an hour to prepare . When the food came it was unfortunately not complete / correct. After a friendly hint, the wait staff was able to correct their "mistakes" quickly. The food was very tasty. Before visiting, however, you should consider whether you really want to spend that much time.

Perfect interplay of ambience, service and of course the quality of the food! Also not overpriced, modern selection, a must for foodies! Attention: no card payment possible

Sometimes a longer waiting time, but that is a general "problem" in Garmisch if you want to have breakfast, or maybe one of the guests who all seem to have no more time. . A very nice, quiet and lovingly furnished café. The breakfast is fantastic, tasty and varied. There is definitely something for vegans and vegetarians too! If you want to have a quick brunch or an extensive breakfast, this is the right place in the middle of Gaisch! :-) We would love to come back!

Visually a very nice and cozy cafe. Food and drinks are reasonable in terms of price. Unfortunately, the service was very slow, listless and then also unfriendly. There were only 4 tables occupied and 3 waiters in the shop. Still, you had to wait a long time. Sometimes people were sent away, although there were still enough places available (even with a minimum distance) with the words: "He'll find something else, enough people come here." If the employees are happy that no one comes, that says everything about the attitude.

The service was very friendly, but the waiting times were too long overall, although not many guests were there. Overall, the food was okay, but I had expected more for the price than bread rolls from the supermarket.

If you want to wait 2 1/2 hours for a coffee and a bread with egg then this café is perfect. For people who don't want to wait long for a lukewarm coffee, please avoid! Smoothie bowl was lukewarm and tasted good.

Only reason I’d give this spot two stars is because the food was decent at best. We were seated at 10:00 and had two other couples come in after us and somehow both those couples ordered and were served before us.. not the best customer service but we hoped the food would be good. Our order wasn’t taken until 10:30 and then we didn’t receive our drinks ( 1 tea, 1 latte) until 11:15. 45 minutes for two drinks. For our breakfast we ordered two pieces of toast and two eggs and two smoothie bowls (not a huge order), and didn’t receive our food until 11:50. Meanwhile, a party of 6 next to us was ordering round after round of beer and shots and Bavarian wurst breakfast for their entire table and getting prompt quick service. Unless you have two hours to waste waiting for “okay” food; I wouldn’t recommend coming here for breakfast/brunch. 30 minutes just to have our order taken, 45 minutes upon ordering to receive our drinks, and 1hr and 20 mins just to get toast and eggs.

Still sitting in anticipation of having breakfast served sometime. Order placed virv55 minutes in total for 1 hour and 1.35 here. I can understand a relaxed Sunday breakfast, but we also want to eat something.

We didn't like the breakfast served in our hotel and were looking for a nice breakfast place. We decided to try Cafe Bar berge and was worth it. The waiteress was able to speak fluent english. The breakfast menu had wide options to choose from, the service was very fast anf good. The ambience of the cafe was very nice and coze. We really enjoyed our food which was very delicious 😋. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast or brunch.

Went there for breakfast. The food was truly amazing. We had avocado bread and one with eggs. Only the croissant was a bit dry. More like a Bamberger Hoernchen. Service was excellent, we could only pay cash though.

Really nice waitress and delicious breakfast. I had the vegetarian breakfast with tea, yogurt muesli and fruits, bread, cheese, hard boiled egg, freshly squeezed OJ and fruits. Everything was fresh and really good. The backyard is really nice too.

Can't say enough good things about this place. First of5 the waitress, knowing we did not speak German, took the time to explain the menu to us. We ordered and the food was excellent, from the avocado bread & eggs to the coffee everything was really good. They even offer self serve glasses of water, very rare in Germany for some reason. We took some croissants to go and they were also very good. I loved the decor, service and food, wish I had found this place earlier.

My family just got off the train with no breakfast and happened to wander into Café Bar Berge for breakfast. Not only did they speak English (we are American) but the food and atmosphere was exquisite. The hearty breakfast was indeed hearty and filled up everyone. The coffee and espresso was also delicious and well made. The owner and her daughter (I’m assuming here) were wonderful and friendly. If I ever return to Garmisch I will definitely stop in. Highly highly recommend.

Cozy and nicely decorated little restaurant / cafe away from the tourist crowds. The service was extremely friendly and the food was delicious. We felt well and would love to come back.

Very warm "home like" interior. I had chili con carne and it was delicious. A place well worth visiting!

Wonderful place, healthy tasty breakfast, kind service, beautiful place with pretty decoration. And finally a place with a fair price that includes coffee in the breakfast. Lovely and recommended!

Great service and food. They let us bring our dogs inside on a rainy day, which we really appreciated. The decorations inside were very cozy and the prices were very reasonable.
